I picked up a friend's camera during my first trip to India. The rich culture, sights, and flavors inspired me so much that I immediately purchased my own camera when I returned back home. I was lucky enough to return to India and live there for a few years. During which I was able to travel throughout it's amazing lands, as well as other parts of south east Asia.
I am now living in the beautiful area of Huasteca Potosina, Mexico where my passion for photography continues to grow. My background being in graphic design, I still continue to do freelance design, but my interest has shifted more to capturing beautiful imagery. I love how and at the same time am amazed how photography is able to speak to people in such unique and intimate ways.
My images have been used by National Geographic and published in India Today, Der Spiegel, The Surfer's Path, Australian Surfing Life, Low Pressure's Stormrider Guides, and numerous other publications. I am now shooting for IndiaStockPhotography.com as a staff photographer and freelancing for other travel and surf magazines/publications.
I attribute any success that I have had to my friends, family members, and other gifted photographers I've met along the way who have helped guide and encourage me to do more with my photos. Thank you to all of you!
Namaste,
Dustin
